Where can I get data about the number of Twitter accounts per year (dating back to its launch in 2006)?
Googling around leads to (non-verifiable) data about the current (or past) number of users, only offering a snapshot or just a short three-year trend or so.
I found some data leading back to 2009 at https://www.businessofapps.com/data/twitter-statistics/, but it only covers "daily monetizable active users (dMAUs), excluding many users"; in addition, I am not sure what the y-axis label means:
So, to repeat my question: where to get verifiable data about the total number of Twitter accounts per year dating back to Twitter's launch?
